С енумами проблема, что оно сломается если новый метод добавят - может стоит пропускать значения которые не в енуме

об этом я не подумал, согласен, пофиксил
сломал я что-то с веткой master, мало опыта с PR, удалил ветку, сейчас открою новый PR из ветки feature, сделал ее изначально, а затем слил с мастером и его предложил, теперь понимаю - глупость
